Here I am, promising how I refuse to go to the 'mandatory' Korean War Museum trip on my off day, and the next thing you know, I'm headed off in the bus and almost there. Oh, how I ranted the day before about how they can't force us to go, and how I thought I'd go speak with the Commander about it, due to the obvious infringement of policy... Yadda yadda yadda...

At the end of the day though, I find myself enjoying myself at this fascinating and enormous museum. At the end of the day, the photos just pile up and I happen to have a batch of at least ten more images eligible to post on devart for all you wonderful watchers, you. '

So funny how things can change when you stop thinking about someone telling you to do something, and realize that you *want* to do it because it's in your best interests.

I'm a stoopid kid sometimes.

I am amazed at my fortune, considering how my situation a year before this had been the exact opposite. I had been left by the person I loved after being cheated on, hoping one day it would turn around, my friends one-by-one vanished for various reasons and usually via bridge-burning, and I wanted to start college again but had no will to make it happen.

That was then...


The NOW as I see it, shows I am still in the Army and in the same job, with my job only getting more demanding because of pricks newly rising through the ranks, and I sleep less per day. BUT, somehow the universe turns my fortune and gives me a wonderful woman who loves me more than I have ever known possible. She respects me, she knows how to have fun, she is in college taking classes for graphics design, and on top of that I am soon to be engaged to her! My friends where I had lost them also are being replaced by even better people, and the good friends that I had lost originally are coming back. My new car is soon to be paid off, and I am taking classes finally! *dances and jumps a loop in the air*

So YIPPEEEE!!! Share in my happiness and I will reward you with *one* shrubbery!
...but you'll have to arrange it with a shrubber on your own time. Shrubberies are not easy to get, you know. XD

Okay, just a quick story 'cause at the time my girlfriend and I were DYING from laughter from it:

I was at her house, and an icecream truck passed-by. She goes, "OH my Gawd, lookie the caramel candy-apples!!". I look for a moment, then say, "Well hey whadd'ya know, shouldn't there be a trail of fat kids running behind it?"

...not a second later, a profoundly chunky kid came-into view, running his fastest to overtake the icecream truck!!!

Oh man, we both just died right there from laughter and I think someone had to scrape us two off the driveway with a spatula. >XD
